The Best Medieval RPG Games Like Mount & Blade Announced in 2012 and highly anticipated by its fidgeting fan-base, Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord is a medieval action-RPG and set to take place 200+ years before the events of the previous titles Mount & Blade and Mount & Blade:
I'm totally lost on where to do this. I've been looking thru the menus and I'm not seeing how. I'm not part of a faction nor do I have my own, but I have 3 companions with their own armies that I'd like to support me in a siege, otherwise i'll have to wait and find a castle with a small garrison, which almost always has the army that just conquered it marching not too far away.Hope I'm remembering the attributes/skills correctly. But you're right I think there are some skills it might be worth putting 1 learning point into at least: trade, charm, roguery, tactics, leadership, steward, medicine. 1 in each of those is a lot of potential skill points you can earn to get more levels I guess. Basically, they're all random right now. There are provisions in the code for the game to have a set of default companions available and have some randomly generated. The goal is for the game to generate with +/- 5 of 20-25 Companions of a mix of both sorts. (Or, perhaps, the guaranteed ones with the rest being randomly generated.)
I am 10+ hours into a playthrough and yet to see a single companion ever level. Sure, they still gain skills but not levels (and stats/focus points). This makes gear as the only path to upgrading your companions. Also, I have not encountered any merchant or stewardship companions. I expect assigning stewardship-focused companion to govern should increase bonuses to holdings. Likewise with
1.0.3 i currently (still) is the most stable and mod supported version since all 1.0.2 (and even 1.0.1 mods) should work with it aswell. I'm running 1.1.1 since the mods i use already support it (or don't crash when enabled anyways). Last edited by Zef ; Mar 26, 2023 @ 3:38am. #5.
The following are tactical uses of Heroes from Mount&Blade and Warband that will allow one to optimize their party. One first must be aware of which hero hates which other heroes, as these conflicts will decrease morale and make it harder to keep your chosen heroes from leaving the party. However, note that it is possible to keep a hero in your party along with someone they hate if you balance
Lord Personality. All vassals have different values and personalities, ranging from peaceful inland patrol to restless warmongers. Best lord personality to recruit is Good-natured & Upstanding. Avoid the lord with this personality which are Pitiless, Quarrelsome, Calculating & Debauched. Regarding release.
They have - 2 (!) best leaders with 100 tactics and leadership (Falcon and Golden). Companions cannot improve their leadership. Other nations have far worse leaders. Batanians have none. - best healer - that's okay because of medieval reasons. - best scout (of the Wastes) - best rogue (Prince) and they still have 2 others with level 100 (!) - best trader (Spicevendor) This became obvious when
There is absolutely no point to have a highly skilled trader companion at the moment. Trading level bonus is only taken into account from the Clan Leader. Trading perks are for the vaste majority Clan Leader and Governor related, the personal ones the AI can't use anyway. Setting a companion to Governor breaks their perks (they lose all of them).

There's Distinguished Service mod which adds promotions from generic troop to a companion. You can exploit to get your companions back if you have a fief; go to the town/castle manager and add a companion as governor, they'll teleport to the keep and you can take them into the party, repeat for each missing companion.
1 Sharpened Edge. The final perk choice in the smithing tree is between the Sharpened Edge and the Sharpened Tip. The former gives a slight increase to the swing damage of your crafted weapons, and the former does the same for piercing damage. While this ultimately comes down to your personal preference on the types of weapons you use We can hope they do more, but no plans have been shared. As for the wanderers, they've been mostly the same since EA and what changes have come, it's really unclear if they were even intentional a there's been a lot of goofy stuff over the year. 1.6.3 beta makes them have better attributes and FP, matching thier skills, which is an improvement, but overall it's kinda crappy IMO and many player .
