The Hell-A edition of DI2 contains 'slayer tarot cards' which show of all 6 slayers in the game. On 6 december we got a better look at these cards. There’s a new post showing the Twitter post but basically they said these packs are coming in Summer. So they listed them as preorder packs making you think they were launch content. I know it’s just skins and weapons but feels super shitty to me and a bit deceptive. It should have said “access to upcoming character pack 1 and 2”.
Ned_Jr • 7 mo. ago • Edited 7 mo. ago. Best characters to start with imo are Jacob, Dani, Ryan, and Carla is solid too. I like Bruno's dialogue and his back attacks can be good, but you don't get nasty gear until later, so you might be slashing away not doing much at times.

A game like Dead Island 2 that released with good graphics, minimal bugs, and a fun gameplay loop is a dev making a “poor game” because it isn’t to your personal preference. Basically there are 6 characters. In dead island 1 there were only 4 and I think it was a game made for the Coop. I have to say though that being in session with 4 Logan or Xian was nothing short of exhilarating.Also I don't think Dead Island 2 can be comparable in terms of scenery to DI1, also the characters are much more B movie in my opinion

DI2 is way more linear but the maps feel consistently better than 1. There's no section of the game you can point to as being worse than the rest. Everything from Bel Air to Venice Beach and even the smaller maps like the sewers and movie studio were well crafted. Combat - DI2 is lightyears ahead.
